Guess the Weight of our Santa – Winner
Congratulations Sarah! Sarah was with in 36 grams! Our Santa was a hefty 2130 grams!
Our Beautiful Santa was donated by one of our suppliers, Sarunds, to raise awareness and money for the “Cocoa for Schools Project”.
The ‘Cocoa for Schools’ project is committed to improve the lives of thousands of cocoa farmers and their families in the Kyela, Busokelo and Rungwe districts of Mbeya, Tanzania. Investing in education is a huge part of this programme, as it has been shown to be the single most effective way of getting out of poverty.
Through the ‘Cocoa for Schools’ project, Kim’s Chocolates works tirelessly to improve the infrastructure for education in the local communities. Their target is to build, complete or renovate in the next 10-12 years around 2100 classrooms and teacher’s offices and to distribute around 430.000 school books. Beyond education, the project also assists farmers in a number of ways, including teaching agricultural skills, distributing new cocoa seedlings and providing solar electricity generating devices.
Kim’s Chocolate produce the popular “Cachet” range of Chocolates and Bars we sell in ‘The Chocolate Shop’. Each bar from the ‘Cocoa for Schools’ range is made from sustainable and organic Tanzania Cocoa beans. Every bar sold Sarunds and ‘The Chocolate Shop’ donate 10p to this worthy charity project to improve the lives of the Tanzania farmers children.
With our competition and bar sales we have raised £35.00 this Christmas!
